The Kite 75 comes with a factory-fitted tether system, which allows for seamless switching between tether and battery operation without any need for tools. Kite 75: Modular design for maximum flexibility
In addition to the normal cold start mode, which only takes around 1 to 2 minutes for the Kite 75 under normal circumstances, the Kite 75 offers a standby mode that allows the user to put the Kite 75 into standby mode some time before an operation without having to connect a drive battery.
This means that the Kite 75 can be safely put on standby in the emergency vehicle or a protected location. When the mission command is given, the Kite 75 is ready for take-off in less than 10 seconds from standby mode.
To decouple the IMU of the flight controller from fluctuating outside temperatures, it is heated up to 50°C after initialization. This usually happens completely unnoticed and within a minute. In very cold outside temperatures, this heating process can take a little longer and unintentionally extend the start time. The IMU of the Kite 75 is already heated up in standby mode. In this way, the Kite 75 is ready for take-off immediately after connecting the flight battery from standby mode.
In addition to the standard payload, the Kite 75 offers the option of adding a sophisticated EO/IR zoom camera gimbal with night vision. This optional camera unit, attached to the front of the Kite 75 and detachable, acts as an intelligent FPV zoom camera with multiple functions, including
- automatic tracking,
- object tracking,
- fire and smoke detection,

- license plate recognition.

The Kite 75 is optionally equipped with a LIDAR-based obstacle avoidance system that detects obstacles at an angle of 320° and thus prevents collisions. This ensures optimum safety for smooth mission operations.
The Kite 75 allows flight times of several hours with local use on the tether. With the option of simply switching to tether operation, it theoretically enables unlimited stationary missions without a stopover. Flight altitudes of up to 100m AGL are possible without any problems. Power is supplied via the cable. A buffer battery on the Kite 75 ensures operational reliability.
The bidirectional data transmission via Ethernet over the tether cable allows not only control, but also operation of the payload and video transmission - all without a radio link.
The Kite 75 is equipped with an advanced multi-band GNSS receiver that enables exceptional precision in spatial orientation. Compared to conventional GNSS systems, multi-band GNSS enables more accurate positioning through the simultaneous use of multiple frequency bands.
Optionally, the Kite 75 can be equipped with a second GNSS receiver to integrate high-precision heading via the GNSS signal.
With the telemetry status monitoring of the Kite 75, you always have an up-to-date overview of the most important UAV data. The color display of the GCS allows you to quickly read the telemetry data transmitted in real time. This includes flight duration, battery voltage, current, battery capacity drawn, remaining capacity indicator, flight altitude AGL and ASL, geocoordinates of the drone, number of satellites, quality of GNSS signals and much more.
